About

As an experienced foot doctor and skilled surgeon, Josephine Kleyner, DPM, provides preventive care, chronic disease management, and minimally invasive surgical solutions. Dr. Kleyner treats patients at Hamilton Foot and Ankle Associates, which has offices in Upper East Side Manhattan and Bay Ridge of Brooklyn, New York.

After earning her Bachelor of Science at New York’s Stony Brook University, Dr. Kleyner attended graduate school. She went on to complete her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York City.

Dr. Kleyner then went through an intensive three-year podiatric medicine and surgery residency program at the NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, as well as the Lower Manhattan Hospital. She ultimately served as chief resident.

Because of her dedication to continuing education and always providing the latest foot and ankle treatments, Dr. Kleyner became board certified in foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery through the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. She has special interests in diabetic wound care, limb salvage, trauma, sports, injuries, plastic and cosmetic surgery, foot and ankle reconstructions, and pediatric conditions.

Dr. Kleyner maintains professional memberships with the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the National Association of Professional Women, and the American Podiatric Medical Association, among others. She’s affiliated with Northwell Health Lenox Hill Hospital and NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.

As the only daughter to immigrant parents from Ukraine, Dr. Kleyner is proud to serve the community in which she grew up. She’s fluent in both English and Russian.
