Kingsley Abode-Iyamah, MD, is a neurosurgeon who specializes in complex spinal deformity and is in practice with Orlando Health Neuroscience and Rehabilitation Institute Neurosurgery Group. He is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons.
Dr. Abode-Iyamah received his medical degree from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, Iowa City, after graduating summa cum laude from Northeastern Illinois University. He completed a neurosurgery residency at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and went on to complete a complex spine fellowship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago. His accolades include the Inventor of the Year Award from University of Iowa, Excellence in Leadership Award and Dean’s Scholar for the University Of Iowa Carver College Of Medicine.
Prior to joining Orlando Health, Dr. Abode-Iyamah served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He has published numerous book chapters and research articles in several leading Neurosurgery medical journals including Journal of Neurosurgery, Neurosurgery, World Neurosurgery and the Journal of Clinical Neuroscience. In addition, he has been a peer reviewer for Clinical Neurology and Neurosurgery and PLOS ONE. He currently holds two U.S. Patents and continues to improve the field through his research and innovative work.
