About

Tyler Goldberg, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in adult joint reconstruction as well as primary and revision joint surgery. Dr. Goldberg’s clinical interests include primary and revision adult hip and knee reconstruction, with particular attention to Anterior Approach Total Hip Replacement (primary and revision) and Patient-specific Total Knee instrumentation. He has helped to co-develop various hip and knee implants, procedures, and instrumentation systems over the last 14 years. He remains active in teaching surgeons these procedures through visitations, lectures, live surgery demonstrations, and online teaching. A native Texan, Dr. Goldberg grew up in Dallas. He graduated from Southern Methodist University with degrees in chemistry and biology. He then earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical school in Dallas. Dr. Goldberg completed his general surgery internship and orthopedic residency training at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Chattanooga. In addition, he performed sub-specialty training in adult joint reconstruction at the University of Utah under Dr. Aaron A. Hofmann. After completing his joint replacement training, Dr. Goldberg relocated to Austin and practiced from 2004-2007 at The Austin Diagnostic Clinic. He has published numerous articles in medical literature, has presented at many national and international meetings, and performed live surgical demonstrations. An innovator, designer, and educator, Dr. Goldberg is involved in many professional organizations for the advancement of technology intended to benefit patient care. Dr. Goldberg has been voted by his peers to the Texas Monthly Super Doctors list from 2010-2018. Away from orthopedics, Dr. Goldberg enjoys his family, travel, and golf.
