Dr. Daniel Fassett is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery. Dr. Fassett joined the Department of Neurosurgery on August 1, 2007 as Assistant Professor. In June of 2008 he was appointed Associate Head for the department, in January 2009 he was appointed Interim Head, and from 2011 through July, 2016 he served as the permanent Head of Neurosurgery. Dr. Fassett received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia where he was inducted into the AOA. He completed a Neurosurgery Residency from the University of Utah Hospital and a Combined Orthopedic and Neurosurgical Spine Fellowship from Thomas Jefferson University.
In addition to his medical background, Dr. Fassett also holds a MBA from Augusta State University, and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Clemson University.
