About
- Alan Gillick, MD, received his premedical undergraduate education at the University of Scranton and his medical degree from Milton S. Hershey Medical Center of the Pennsylvania State University. He completed a five year internship and residency program in orthopaedic surgery at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville and returned to Scranton to practice as an orthopaedic surgeon. In 1992, he pursued a fellowship in Spine Surgery and Reconstruction at the University of Maryland under the direction of Dr. Charles Edwards. For the past ten years, Dr. Gillick has devoted 80% of his practice to spine surgery. He also has an interest in total joint replacement of the hip and knee. Dr. Gillick brings the latest, state of the art spine reconstructive technique to his patients without the need for them to travel to a large metropolitan area for care. Dr. Gillick is on the staff at Community Medical Center, Moses Taylor Hospital and the Northeast Surgery Center. He maintains his office here in Dickson City. Dr. Gillick is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
