- CO.DON is a biopharmaceutical company and manufacturer of cell transplants. With more than 25 years of experience in the field of tissue engineering, the focus is on the development, manufacture and marketing of regenerative, joint-preserving cell therapies for the treatment of cartilage defects in joints with the body's own cells. The mission and passion of the more than 100 employees at CO.DON is to enable patients to lead an active life through personalized cartilage cell therapy. Since the first treatment in 1997, more than 18,000 patients have been treated with CO.DON products. CO.DON has its headquarters in Germany (Leipzig, Teltow) and is also active in England, the Netherlands, Austria and Switzerland. In line with the corporate vision, CO. DON is actively involved in making its EU-wide approved drug available in other European countries and thus more patients. In order to continue to produce medicines of the highest quality in the future, CO.DON also built one of the largest plants for the production of human cells on an industrial scale at the Leipzig site.
